Good Thursday morning. Nice to have you with us on the 47 Morning Update. And we've got one major story for you. It deals with the events in Minnesota. A woman who decided to use her car as a weapon to run over ICE agents. The ICE agents shooting back. And unfortunately, she lost her life. So why is the left weaponizing this and calling for more individuals to put their lives at risk as well? We'll break it all down for you, plus the facts of actually what happened. It's the 47 Morning Update, and it starts right now.
Story number one.
There is one major story that we are going to deal with extensively. It deals with a woman who was fatally shot in Minneapolis by ice, and she was shot through the front of her windshield as she tried to drive over an ice agent. There are a lot of lies online claiming that the ICE agent shot her through the passenger window. That did not happen. As the car wrecked, you can clearly see a bullet through the front window. That bullet hole is extremely important when it comes to evidence. Because it shows that that car was driving directly towards the ICE agent when he had no other choice but to shoot to protect and save his own life and others around him. This was preventable. It is also tragic when someone loses their life.
But what also is preventable is the anarchy that is being advocated and taught by the left. To be clear, this woman and others had in essence joined together to follow, to stalk and to stop ICE agents from doing their job.
What actions led to the escalation of the situation?
If I don't want to pay my taxes, it doesn't mean that I can drive my car into, well, the IRS building if I think my tax rate is too high it doesn't mean that I can just go after IRS agents you go to your members of Congress you plead your case you vote on election day you get involved and pick people that you believe are going to side with you but what the left has done is they have told their followers that they can go out and just do whatever they want to do without any accountability Which brings me back to what I said. This was a preventable death, a death that was inspired by the anarchists on the left who are advocating for people to literally be vigilantes. And when you do this, it can cost people their lives.
What's also really sick about this woman losing her life is the fact that the left is actually excited over it. They wanted something like this to happen so that they could then use it to attack Donald Trump and ICE agents. They were looking for a flashpoint, or as Democrats have said, you never let a crisis go to waste. Which brings me to Kristi Noem. Kristi Noem, the woman in charge. The Department of Homeland Security was in Minneapolis and she had very clear message for the men and women in uniform and actually the facts around this case. I want to play that for you in a moment. But before I even do that, I want you to also hear what J.D. Vance said. He put out a tweet a couple hours ago saying, quote, I want every ICE officer to know that their president, vice president, and the entire administration stands behind them.
To the radicals assaulting them, doxing them, and threatening them, congratulations. We're going to work even harder to enforce the law. Secretary Noem detailing the self-defense shooting in Minneapolis. And here is what she had to say.
Any loss of life is a tragedy, and I think all of us can agree that in this situation it was preventable. I've spoken to the president today on the situation here on the ground. I also just got off the phone a little while ago with Governor Walz and spoke to him as well.
