EP32: Weight Loss success while managing Type 1 Diabetes Today’s special guest is Lauren from South Wales. She talks to me today about her journey of weight loss, living with diabetes and how this journey has been as important for her mental health as physical. Like so many, Lauren found the motivation to lose weight after a tragedy in her life. As a way to focus on something other than her grief, she joined Slimming World as a distraction. However very quickly Lauren realised that there were many benefits to her losing weight, and began to enjoy them as part of her daily lifestyle. In this episode Lauren also shares how having Type 1 diabetes impacts her diet and the ways in which she is able to both control her weight and benefit from combining calorie counting as part of her SW journey.
