Good morning, welcome to SEN Mornings. Jared Waitley's shift is done. Done and dusted. He was magnificent calling the AFL grand final, but he is off to the paddock, at least until the spring carnival. And uh we will hear him across the summer of cricket as well here on SEN. So last year it was Kane Corns and Sam Edmund who uh shared duties. No one man can fill in for G. Waiteley. Uh now It takes three of us uh to fill in for Gerald Whaitley. So Josh Jenkins and Kane Corns for the first hour, and then Sam Edmund will uh drop by and take over as uh we continue to debrief on the AFL season. There's a big Monday night football uh game about to drop as well, so we'll be able to veer off the trade period and veer off footy and have a look at a few other other sports along the way.

Morning to you, J J. Great to have you on board for what's going to be an exciting time. Plenty to get through at this time of the year, including the trade period. So we'll be all over that. Some of the most uh well known cricketers uh to cricket fans, uh they could be in this studio panelling and I wouldn't even I wouldn't even know. Griff could uh be a panel up by morning and uh superstar cricketer by night and I just wouldn't know. So let's stay as far away from uh cricket as possible. nervous though, JJ. He'll be nervous. Why? Because the AFL just smacked the NRO in the ratings. And they have no grand final entertainment 'cause uh Tones and I pulled out. They're gonna put the money back into the game. Because she didn't want to sing Dance Monkey and Velandi wanted her to, so no entertainment. The AFL's just got four point five mil and knocked them off from last year. Can they do it? Sunday night night really does help the NRL in their grand final ratings, but that's the question to Vossey. Is he nervous? No finals entertainment and a ratings challenge has been set and thrown down to uh to Channel Nine and the NRL.
Well, I will ask him because they've often hung their hat on the uh T V audiences because when you're getting eighteen thousand to your semi finals, it's difficult to hang your hat on hang your hat on uh those who turn up and uh and actually attend the game. So looking forward to speaking to Vossi. It is it is an an unbelievable grand final matchup. What Newcastle have been able to do and going from last to potentially first is quite incredible and we know The Sydney Roosters are a bit of a powerhouse. Uh we'll also speak to the MRC's Josh Rodder. I'll let you go for that one because um I'm not sure you're across who will be winning and competing in the Caulfield Cup as much of a Wow,
