April Warnecke is a Broadcast Meteorologist and greenscreen magician for Channel 3TV’s “Good Morning! Arizona”. She won an Emmy during her 16-year span at GMA educating Arizonans on the state’s weather, including the crazy summer monsoon seasons with giant dust storms and flash floods and winters with snow.April is such a seasoned professional that she makes it look and sound easy. However, she is not only responsible for what we see on television, but she is responsible for so much of what we do not see on TV. She combines being a broadcast journalism and media expert with being a scientist that analyzes and translates weather patterns and up-to-the minute news. She has to both be able to quickly ad-lib and pivot for some parts of her job, while also bringing a highly analytical skill set when it comes to the science behind the weather.In addition to being a professional in these areas, she balances being a mother and incorporating family life into a schedule that includes early, early mornings.
