Brandei Estes, the Head of the Photographs Department for Sotheby's in London, has seen and sold some of the most famous and well-respected photographs in the world. As Director, she is responsible for authenticating artwork, curating shows, meeting sales goals, and more. While paintings and sculptures have been sought after for centuries, photographs have only become a recognized art form that's desired and sold relatively recently (late 1970s, and early 1980s.)
