Chapter 1: What are the hosts' favorite high-end beauty products?
For too long, Australian law didn't just fail survivors. It forced them into silence. Nina Fennell is a Walkley Award-winning journalist and a survivor who helped overturn damaging gag laws in the Australian justice system. She was the driving force behind the campaign that allowed women to finally speak their own names. Her work doesn't just tell stories, it drives change.
Hi, I'm Gemma Bath, host of True Crime Conversations. And this very special two-part episode isn't just about the justice system. It's about what happens when women are finally heard. A raw, honest look at the power of a single voice, how silence is shaped and how women push through it. Hear my conversation with Nina Fennell on True Crime Conversations.

Makeup is my therapy. I'm obsessed and I don't even feel guilty about it.
Hello and welcome to YouBeauty. This is the podcast for your face. I'm Kelly McCarran. I'm Leigh Campbell. How was your week, my love? It's been really good. I love sitting with you at the end of the week. I do a little leg pop with excitement.
I do too.
We both do it. I think it's because we're excited to talk about products because every Friday we bring you one spandex. One savey, so, you know, something not affordable, something more affordable, something brand spanking new. Maybe several brand spanking new things. Will both of us actually have a box? I have a box, you have a box. Of newness.
And then something we've either finished or shopped our own stash for. And I sort of am in the both bandwagon. I shopped your stash. Well, you inspired my stash from yours. Okay.
All right, let's kick things off with, give me your savey, girl. Spendy. Savey. Spendy. Savey. Cha-ching. Let me tell you what it is and then how I discovered it. It's called the Indola Colour Style Mousse Leave-In Rinse-Off Temporary Colouring Mousse. Everyone knows what a toner like shampoo is or colour shampoo.

Chapter 2: How can a grocery store lotion enhance your skincare routine?
For $20, I reckon it's worth a try because you're kind of getting colour and scrunch. A styling product. Yeah. How cool is that? Oh, that's very cool. I bought about 85 other things she told me to buy, so I may report back. What's your savings?
My product isn't unique at all. Oh, well, it's okay. That's not a requirement. But you know what? It's quite handy for this time of year. Well, any time of year if you've got dry skin. It is the Epsom Skin Drench Triple Moisture Lotion. Oh, I don't know about this one. I got it for $12.69 from Kohl's, but you can get it. you know, done a bunch of different places.
I love their bath salts or whatever they're called. Oh, my God, the bath salts are so good. 200ml. It looks really small but it's actually a really standard size. It's efficient. You can tell I like it. It doesn't take up too much room. It doesn't have a fragrance really. It's just full of ceramides and glycerin.
So this is the sort of, you know, every year I talk about like mixing a really luxurious body oil. Into your lightweight lotion. Yes. That is what I've been using this for and it's so.
Oh, you're adding the oil to it.
Yes, because I wouldn't say it's moisturising enough for me. Even though it's triple moisture lotion, it is like it's more of a gel formula.
So you would probably really like the texture of it because it's not thick or too rich at all. And because you don't always moisturise in the morning.
I never do.
So you're probably not looking for that texture. Whereas I moisturise always every morning, sometimes not at night. But I need lightweight because I'm going to chuck my clothes on.

Chapter 3: What new beauty products are being introduced this week?
It's not too dark. Some of them are so dark it's like what's the point? It's basically black. Well, see, I like that because anything ā I've got dark features, so anything brown almost looks like weird on me, but this just looks ā It's such a nice day mascara, even though I find it very lengthening. It's really, really lengthening. Not massively volumizing, but I don't want width.
I want length. Girth is not my problem. I don't like girth. Yeah. I want length. But this just on your lashes, I just find it really not natural looking. I mean, it looks like you've got mascara on, but it just looks very natural. cool and undone and not too much like, I don't know, beautiful formula. It does not flake, got a lot of working time.
My favorite kind of brush, which is that kind of rubbery, it's not a traditional mascara. Yeah.
What are they called?
Bristles. Thank you. It's so nice. And a lot of people have said, what mascara are you using? I've also used the new La Base one. So I've been kind of alternating the two. They're both so good, but for a pharmacy brand, I reckon This is the best pharmacy tubular mascara I've tried so far. Wow. I know. I mean, it's nearly, it's $35, so it's not 15 bucks.
But out of your price line tubulars, I reckon this is number one.
So, okay.
Number seven is number one. Well, I'll have to give it a try.
And I'll give the brown a try, actually. So, last year, Leigh talked about the Givenchy Prism Libre Foundation. It was new to the market and it caused a stir. I harassed the PR. It wasn't out yet. It was huge. And still to this day when I'm talking to makeup artists, they're like that's their go-to. Oh, good. We were on to it. Makeup artists love it. They've released a glow version. Oh, what?

Chapter 4: What affordable alternatives do the hosts recommend?
Less oily, though. would you not say? Yes, less oily. Yes, yes, yes. That's my only gripe with the Westman.
I know, yeah. I love it. I love it. But I don't always want an oil especially, it doesn't always play nicely with other products. Same. I loved the finish of that one for two hours on me but then that plays nicely with other products because it's not oily. Yes. Okay, I love it. Oh, no. You're the same shade as me. It's like a beautiful, gorgeous, glorious tint. Oh. Isn't it just?
Oh, maybe this is me in winter now that I'm also dry. You only need the one pump. So, yes, it's $100, which is outrageous. Oh, no. That will last. I should have shown that on my hand.
Oh, the before and after. Honestly, I'm going to try half a drop because you honestly, and I found this with the original, I would accidentally pump a full pump and you don't need it. It is so washy. It's like applying like almost an essence. It's so thin. Yes. Like it's kind of thinner than a serum. But the coverage is beautiful.
Oh! It is all I want. I can't cope with this. Then I want to build up my coverage if I need. When my skin's good, I then want to put my coverage on with concealer.
I already think it's better than my favourite. Wow. Well, I just think perfect time of the year. Don't bring that out in summer. No. Well, I mean for you dry gals, but like I'm now looking for something that's not quite as long wear and not quite as satin.
Even the oily gals aren't going to sweat that off in winter. I know. Isn't it spectacular?
I need to leave and get it. I need to leave this place right now.
Every penny. Well, you can race to Sephora.

Chapter 5: How does the $102 Givenchy foundation compare to other products?
August is a smoky fresh. Lillicure is a floral fruity. And athia. Oh, is a fresh herbal. Oh, that's just hard.
I want smoky athia.
Smoky fresh.
Okay.
So that's for clarity, stimulation and renewal. And then you want the fruity floral. That's for hope, confidence and positive outlook. Okay. No, I need that one. Okay. And they're all for, you know, it says they're for calm, stress release, reset, balancing, self-worth, inner strength. Well, I think because a lot of essential oils are believed to have some sort of spiritual and internal...
They definitely do, even if you're not woo-woo. Yeah, it's true. You sniff some things and you're like, something's going on in my energy right now.
Here's your August. I'm going to sniff. 50 mils? Yeah, 50 mils. Oh, I can't decide. I need all of them. Ooh, beautiful bottle. Yeah, the bottles are stunning. They remind me a little bit of the Jo Malone bottles that have. Oh, yeah, the new Jo Malone ones.
Yes.
Okay, I have the Liliquid. L-I-L-Q-U-O-I. That's a lot of... Did you spray too much or you don't like it? I think I just sprayed way too much. Okay. It's lovely. It definitely smells like cordial.

Chapter 6: What makes the Epzen Skin Drench Triple Moisture Lotion special?
No, that one is a bit lighter. Correct.
I'm going to open all six. All right, what's in your box?
Well, I have already had a little sneak peek, but look, it looks so cute. It looks like a jewellery box. If you aren't watching, you need to go over to YouTube and have a little peek because it's so cute.
Oh!
Oh my gosh.
I thought that was going to be like a road or something, that box.
Isn't it so luxurious? I love what they're doing. So the Milani Bait, well, Bait Collection, because they don't just do blushes. The blushes are probably the most iconic, but they also do highlighters and bronzers. So all powdery products. I love the bronzers. They are one of the most... iconic favorite products in like the... Mastige. Mastige or like in terms of powder products.
I just think of baked powders with them.
I don't even know. They're not powdery at all. They are so silky. So it's one of those things, you know, last week we were talking about like if it ain't broke, why fix it? Yes. But they did do the repackaging of the L'Occitane range. Yes. So... They have reformulated slightly the baked range, which I was like, but why? It was fantastic. But you know what? Kudos to them.

Chapter 7: What are the benefits of using the Indola Colour Style Mousse?
Sally Hepworth, what an absolute jewel you are in the crown of artists. Oh, thank you. This has been lovely. Today we're talking to Rosie O'Donnell.
I just want to tell you this is one of the best interviews I've ever had.

Shut my stash!
So 865 years ago, you recommended, was it this exact one? Yes. Okay. Kelly recommended the Now Solutions Sweet Almond Oil. It's literally a bottle of pure, unscented, moisturizing almond oil. I started off with a smaller one.
Loved it so much you bought the big one.
Well, this is the 473ml. Very specific. But I am recommending today, although I'm not holding it, the $47.25 one because it's just shy of a litre. So it's that... That's the best value. They're all on Amazon. You can pick your size because this oil can do anything. It really can. It will change your light globes.
No, I'm joking. And just like I mix my bougie oils with my more affordable fragrance-free lotions, I use that oil with like my really luxurious body creams.
Yes, right? You flip it. So... Yeah, I first got the small bottle just to test if I liked it after you'd recommended it. And this is, I think, my third bottle now. That was years ago. I use it for big slurp in the bath when I want to feel just hydrated and luxurious. You can use it. It's excellent as a scalp massage, like before you're shampooing. You pop it on your scalp.

Chapter 8: How do you effectively use almond oil in your beauty routine?
Oh, and I wish you could smell it. And it's a foaming body scrub. It foams up so it emulsifies and actually washes you as well. So you're using it as your body wash and scrubbing one. And it just smells. Two products. Where do we get it? It's so sexy. You get it online. I do think. Yes, correct, in my head. What? They are stocking at David Jones soon. It was just online.
I just went through that thought process in my head. Yes, correct, in my head. They're at David Jones either now or soon. So you can actually go and have a play and, like, sniff the formulas as well.
I don't care what it smells like. I love the idea of a foaming scrub. I don't think I've ever ā I mean, some of them do, but they don't tell you they do. That's great. Yeah, it's the best one that I've tried. Okay. Anyway ā
In my head, let us leave.
You're such a scrubber, aren't you? You are such a little scrubber. On that note, should we go?
