This episode is called “Idiom Game”. The first part of this episode was actually recorded about half a year ago. It features my cousin Honza and my friend Artem from Russia – the photographer from episode 13 called “In a restaurant”. Admittedly,we were a bit drunk while recording this episode so when we bravely embarked on a mission to play an idiom game, consequently, the educational value of the whole recording turned out to be slightly lower than you my listeners would deserve. On the other hand, you will be able to get a glimpse at how we non-native speakers may sometimes struggle understanding not only the meaning of idiomatic expressions but also how the idioms should remain in a fixed form. What’s more, you will also have a unique opportunity to hear us laugh and enjoy ourselves while playing this game. This might serve as a great example of how studying English can be fun if you know how to do it in a an interesting and engaging way. In the second part I try to explain the vast majority of the idioms from the game on a rather stupid situation of not exactly an ideal father and his young reckless daughter. I hope you will find it useful anyway, and take some of the slightly morally questionable and perhaps for some of you condemnable aspects of this episode with discretion.
