ريما ماجد أستاذة مشاركة لبنانيّة في علم الاجتماع في قسم العلوم الاجتماعية ودراسات الإعلام في الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت . تركز أعمالها البحثية في مجالات اللامساواة الاجتماعية، والحركات الاجتماعية، والطائفية، والصراع، والعنف. حصلت الدكتورة ماجد على درجة الدكتوراه من جامعة أكسفورد، حيث أجرت أبحاثها حول العلاقة بين التحولات البنيوية، والحراك الاجتماعي، والطائفية في لبنان. كانت زميلة زائرة في مركز ممدوحة بوست للسلام والعدالة في جامعة برينستون خلال عام 2018/2019، وزميلة أبحاث في مبادرة الشرق الأوسط في جامعة هارفارد (2022/2023).نُشرت أعمالها في عدد من الدوريات والكتب والمنصات الإعلامية مثل: Social Forces، American Political Science Review، Mobilization، Routledge Handbook on the Politics of the Middle East، Middle East Law and Governance Journal، Oxford Handbook of the Sociology of the Middle East، Global Dialogue، إضافات: المجلة العربية لعلم الاجتماع، الجمهورية، OpenDemocracy، Jacobin، Middle East Eye، CNN، وAl Jazeera English.كما أنها شاركت في تحرير كتاب "انتفاضة لبنان 2019: أصوات من الثورة" (I.B. Tauris، 2022)، وهي الباحثة الرئيسية في مشروع "مقاربات نقدية لدراسات التنمية" في الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت.
