Anniversary Special│The strength of weak ties, Do we live because we narrate? and When I share, I’m not alone. 【Introduction】 The 20th Anniversary Special is a series that celebrates art and humanity through story-telling. Story-telling is an innate ability that constructs our own identity and connects us with others. In this edition, we invite our close international collaborators to share their personal stories with us. This week we welcome our wonderful partner, Han Nefkens Foundation. 【Han Nefkens Foundation】 https://www.hnfoundation.com/ Introduction: The Han Nefkens Foundation is a private non-profit organization that was set up in Barcelona in 2009 with the aim of connecting people through art, across all disciplines. By supporting art production, the objective of the foundation is to give young artists the push they need for their careers to advance. In 2016, the foundation decided to focus exclusively on video art. Through Awards, Production Grants, and Mentorship Grants, it now promotes emerging international video artists. Collaborative projects: In 2018, in collaboration with Loop Barcelona, the Han Nefkens Foundation established the Loop Barcelona Video Art Production Award, which aims to increase contemporary artistic production in the video art field by supporting artists of Asian origin or nationality. The winner was selected by a jury panel chaired by Han Nefkens, joined by representatives from international art institutions including MoCA Taipei. The winner will be presenting the new production at these institutions.
