…That organization he'd mentioned was the Institute in Basic Life Principles, IBLP, a fundamentalist Christian organization set up by Bill Gothard in 1961, a guy who once claimed that cabbage patch dolls were evil and of Satan. The doc series Happy Shiny People touches on this group and Bill Gothard, but that's a podcast for another day. Not great people.…
