All right, let's go ahead and go on the record. Good morning, everyone. Welcome back for day eight of the application of APS for a rate increase. Uh Where we left off, we are going to pick up with Mr. Eugenus's testimony, but just to touch up or uh catch up on a matter that was left over from last week with regard to building more time into the schedule. Uh we will be switching to an 8.30 start time. Uh procedural order is being prepared as we speak. Um I don't remember whether it's set for, you know, starting tomorrow or Wednesday or whatever, but we will be switching to an eight thirty start time eventually. The same procedural order will also be building in extra days going beyond June 30th, just to give a heads up so that we don't get locked out and uh not have a venue in order to proceed if we do get scheduled out.

I can give you what I have slotted out tentatively at this point and Obviously we can work with this as we go, but just to make sure that we had a room law set aside, uh the dates were going to be Uh July first, second, sixth, seven Ten. thirteen, fourteen Seventeen, twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, and twenty four. Yeah, so at the pace we're going and I was uh trying to be cautious, but in any event Just penciling them as of this point. So Hoping we don't actually need to make use of all of those. So

Yes, Your Honor, thank you. Uh, Mr. Eugeneus, good morning. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. Um, much appreciated since I know this is quite a few hours into your cross uh examination. Um to start with, Mr. Eugenus, as the director of resource planning at Arizona Public Service Company, you would have a thorough and intimate understanding on matters such as resource adequacy, load forecasting. Resource planning decisions and how those resource planning decisions inform APS's investment decisions, correct? That's correct. Mr. Eugeneus, as in your role as director of resource planning, you are primarily responsible for the development of APS's integrated resource planning process. Is that correct?

What is the purpose of the resource planning advisory council, if you could just give a a quick description?

It's an opportunity for us to be able to communicate our resource planning and acquisition activities to a broader group of stakeholders and also get feedback from that group of stakeholders. Um, resource adequacy, resource planning, resource procurement has become increasingly complex over the last um, you know, five or six years. Um, the study work that we do today is much more rigorous than what it has been in the past. And so that RPAC uh meeting cadence allows us to um provide information and education uh as well as the company's perspective as it relates to resource adequacy and resource planning and procurement matters.
