Uh this June 18th, uh our day twenty, if I my count is correct, in the application of Arizona Public Service uh for a determination of the fair value of its plant. And for the establishments of reasonable rates of return and charges, etcetera, based thereon. Uh I believe we are starting today with A Z P R I G um witnesses. But before we get to that I'll ask are there any Oh oh okay. No no no. Uh Your Honor, I just wanted to provide a a quick update regarding my own situation. Later this afternoon, I have a commitment to engage in a multi-state negotiation with Pacific Corps. So uh Mr. Jensen will be covering for the AZLCG. The only I I'm guessing the only impact that has is that I think Mr.
Mo may come up for recross during the course of that and would ask uh APS's and your Honor's indulgence to allow Mr. Jensen to do that recross. I know ordinarily you would have just one attorney per witness and so would just ask for that accommodation, but otherwise I'd would not expect that this would have any impact on the proceedings. I I would have actually asked that. So suggested that if you have an alternative that you can pass along your questions to, but uh that being the case, that your being a plan uh that being your plan, I am entirely amenable to that. So thank you. Thank you for the heads up. So All right. Any other issues? Yeah. So uh last night we filed a response to your uh comment that you made about public comment.
It's just some recommendations about ways that might help. Um and Azy Perg is very interested in helping to the extent they can. And since the witness is here, I wanted to offer that if you did have any questions for her um during her cross-examination, she would be open to um asking uh to answering anything you might have. Okay. Well I mean I guess the question is do we want to deal with it as an evidentiary matter or as a procedural matter since it was done as like a response to the The the inquiry or I guess it wasn't really an inquiry, it was more like a public service announcement. It was a plea for help, rather, because uh I mean we welcome all comment is just We weren't aware if people were realizing they were sending it to the wrong place.
So it wasn't getting through. They were bottlenecking by sending it through. Yeah, it it ri our system is designed around those comments flowing through the portal so they can be docketed properly. If you email directly to the e-docket as they were going. uh when people get those automatic notification emails, it does say on there, don't respond to this email because it's it's got a limited cap space. And so they weren't realizing they were sending it to a a like a cul-de-sac here. And it was choking out our system, but uh The only comment I would have, I I did read the comment. I appreciate the thoughts. I'm I'm sure they're all, you know, make sense in the grand scheme of things. Uh the only one that I had an issue with was with regard to whether it's something to be dealt with in this docket, as opposed to a more general proceeding, because it's is if the idea is to improve process generally, you you generally want to have it something where where it's more open-ended.
People may not know, like TEP folks or Southwest Gas may not know. Yeah, and and PERG would be open to to working with the commission however works best for the commission. Appreciate the invitation.
