Okay, let's go on the record. This is the time set for the hearing in docket number G-Zero Zero Four A-24-0237 in the matter of the application of UNS Gas Inc. for a rate increase. And good morning everybody. Happy Monday. Welcome to the Arizona Corporation Commission and my name is Belinda Martin, the ALJ assigned to this matter. Um I think we will we'll skip appearances for now because we need to get started. I had asked um Mr. Carroll and Mr. Patton if Mr. Rodemaker would be available for a couple of more questions that I had. And he graciously agreed. being that he's about to go out of town too, so Mr. Automaker, I greatly appreciate you being here. Very much. It won't take long I just have some questions that I need clarifications and uh one thing that I'm still fairly confused about.

Yeah, so in the protocols there is a definition and it says For purposes of these protocols, the term interested party or interested parties includes But it's not limited to the Arizona Residential Utility Consumer Office. Customers under the tariff that subscribe to the ARAM tariff email list and parties to the proceeding in which these protocols are initially adopted. So any customer that wishes to participate, all they need to do is sign up for a tariff email list and they can participate.

So Would would this be s would this be something that the company would be Willing to perhaps add to the protocols because customers, you know, you've got a hundred and what, seventy thousand customers?

Yes, I I understand your your question. Um Certainly I uh you know we're we're open to recommendations, but certainly there could be a provision for notice in the protocols or At the conclusion of this ray case, there could be some notice about the ARAM process that's about to begin and We could stand up our website uh early enough where if customers wanted to sign up well ahead of time after they've received that notice, they could do so. So so we're we're generally open to some recommendations that that you or the commission might have in that area. Um So Okay. Yeah.

Thank you. Then um I believe it was your testimony. I think you and I were having a discussion about FERC. And talking about the the FERC one. And how those people who would be interested parties there were generally more sophisticated entities rather than, you know, any kind of like rate payer kind of person, right?

Yeah, so for FERC rate cases and FERC formula rates. All customers receive some notification. Um but all those customers are gonna be utilities co ops, uh governmental organizations. So f you know, th there's no Residential customers is part of that, right? It's it's more sophisticated type entities that are gonna participate in those.

Okay. So the question about that Then is even if a customer does get on the interested parties list How would you suggest that they be able to understand what they're looking at when they read the protocols or look at the template?

So I I I think certainly they can ask questions of the company through the data request process. Um After the conclusion of of this ray case, the The formula eight protocols and the formula eight template, their exhibits to a tariff, and we post all our tariffs on our website. So all this information will will be out there after the conclusion of this ray case. So it'll be out there for a year.
