Good morning. It is nine AM. Welcome to our September seventeenth open meeting. Um If you could all please rise for our uh invocation by Vice Chair Myers and our pledge by Commissioner Lopez. Heavenly Father, Second Timothy three two says, Indeed all who desire to live a godly life in g in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, and continues later to say, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed. With that we come before you in the shadow of these grievance grievous trials where the faithful are targeted and the innocent are struck down. In the face of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a voice crying out for truth in these troubling times, and the heartbreaking Evergreen High School shooting that has stolen young lives and shattered families, we lift our hearts to you.

Lord, we see the violence that stalks our land, the evil that seeks to silence the righteous and terrorize the vulnerable. Yet amid this darkness, awaken us to the stirring of your people, the sleeping giant long dormant in apathy. Has been roused by these injustices, stirred to action to defend the sacred and protect the defenseless. Shepherd this awakening, O Lord, with your wise and gentle hand and Guide it not into vengeful fury, but into righteous anger that burns pure and holy, fueled by your word and your love. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. He's joining reciting our pledge. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands. This one. With liberty and justice for all.

Thank you all. Um, before we get started I just wanna draw attention, if you're a history buff like I am, that today Is constitution day. On this day in seventeen eighty seven, delegates To the constitutional convention uh ratified the document that has become the supreme law of the land. Ordinary man with a vision. Uh to live free of tyranny and establish a new uh nation and government. Of the people, by the people, and for the people. And here we are two hundred and fifty years later. And it's easy to lose sight of what drew us to this continent in the first place. And with everything uh that that is as charged as it is in our world uh today We're always going to um have disagreements on issues here at the commission.

But for the most part, we share more in common than uh what w what divides us. And I hope we all take a moment from time to time to take a deep breath. Remember that there are people on all sides of the issues that we tackle and that we are all trying to do the best that we can do. And not lose sight of our humanity. So with that we'll go ahead and get started with uh today's meeting. We currently have six items subject to forty two fifty two on our consent agenda. Those are items two. Three. Eight. Nine. ten and twelve. If any of those items if any party to those items would like to be heard, please speak up.

Good morning Chairman, Vice Chair, Commissioners. My name is Emily Durfler and I represent Western Resource Advocates. I am here to respectfully request that the Commission move agenda item number three to the regular agenda to foster a transparent conversation on this matter. Alternatively, WRA requests that the commission delay the vote on this item to provide no m more notice for those who would like to make comment but who were under the understanding that they could not during this open meeting. Thank you.

Thank you. Um, I'm gonna not pull it from um from the consent agenda at this time unless one of my colleagues wants to. I know that you filed a motion to intervene on item three. Um and we've all read that filing, so we're very aware of WRA stats on that. Are there any other parties?
