All right. Let's go ahead and go on the record. Good morning. Uh welcome to the Arizona Corporation Commission. My name is Blenhe Martin, the administrative law judge assigned to this matter. And at this time what we're going to do is we're going to call for um public comment first. Um and so this is time for public comment and docket number G I need glasses. There we go. Docket number G dash zero four two zero four A dash two four dash zero two three seven in the matter of the application of UNS Gas Inc. Or the establishment of a just and reasonable uh reasonable rates on return. Race and charges. Designed to realize a reasonable rate of return on the fair value of the properties of UNS Gas Inc. devoted to its operations throughout the state of Arizona and for related approvals.

Yes. This is Ruby Pippen. I'm from Lake Havazu City, Arizona. Nancy Dickey and I a year ago on according to your um the power bills that wasn't gas, we received twenty two thousand people that petitioned to um we have their autographs to um have the ACCs please step up to the plate or some leader to help us with our power bills because instead of them only being raised fifteen dollars and all the paperwork like you have here on the gas. They ended up to where uh just a regular little house is now their power bills are over five hundred dollars a month. Our movie theater was over twelve thousand a month. Um so in regards to all of this and now the gas that's happening here. We tried to do everything. We served court papers and everything to the ACC to please make major changes with the Canadian electricity company and nothing happened.

We just got stopped on everything. So my statement is this is that um since the ACC has nobody above them, not even we've talked to Congress, we've talked to the Attorney General, we've talked to everyone Everybody. Nobody has power over the ACC and they are supposed to be for us to protect us. And um instead they have raised and skyrocketed and worked with the monopoly. So my concern is with this now going with the gas is the same thing is gonna happen and we have had it to where people can't even afford to live in Lake Havaso City more regarding any type of power. And so um I'm very disappointed with the ACC that they're not for us, especially being Republicans. Which I'm a strong republican. And um and now to see that they don't care about us, that really concerns me.

And I can't imagine what's gonna happen to our gas bills now at this stage here in this city. And the sad thing is is that just us and a small group of people that are getting affected by this, I would like to see them step up to the plate and make some type of a change.

Right. Uh Ms. Let me ask when you're talking about a great increase to power, you're speaking of Like electric, not not gas in this instance, but electric.

Correct. And so my concern is is that they did this to the electric company. What is the ACC's gonna do now to our gas company?

yeah. Right. Yeah. So my concern is all of this destruction has happened to us. It's been a major devastation to all the families here. A lot of people have moved out because they can't afford their power bills. And now they're gonna do it to the people that have gas. And so my I have grave concerns about all of this that's happening since they don't care about making any changes with our electric bills and giving us any type of a retrieve that the gas
