Um who assigned herself to this matter. And first thing I'll do for the record is to take appearances.

Good morning, Your Honor, Bridget Humphrey. On behalf of commission staff present with me today are staff witnesses Ryan Witt and Guadalupe ARTs. Right.
All right, first um thank you all for your patience while we work through the little technological stuff. Um but now we've got it working. So before we get started, does anyone have any preliminary matters to discuss? I'm not aware of any pending motions or problems. All right, then we can get on. Um first is the time where I ask if there's any public comment to be made and I will note that there are no members of the public this morning in the hearing room nor online to make public comment. So we will go to opening statements. Mr. Metley, did you have an opening?
I I did, Your Honor. Thank you. Um F for context, I I'll just give a brief history of of of this case. In April of uh twenty twenty four, uh global water Akateo Um And the city of Tucson entered into an asset purchase agreement in which the city agreed to sell seven separate potable water production, treatment, storage, transmission, and distribution systems in Pina County to Global Water Akateo. On may tenth, twenty twenty four, Global Water Aquito filed an application with the Commission requesting of a requesting approval of a new C CNN to serve these seven areas. The requested service area included approximately four thousand eight hundred and fifty four acres, serving approximately two thousand two hundred active water customers.
One of the service areas included in the sale was entitled Thunderhead Ranch. During staff's analysis of the initial C CNN application, it was discovered that a small portion of the service area of Thunderhead Ranch overlapped with the with the existing C CNN territory of Spanish Trails Water Company. In order to proceed with the extension application, Global Water Acateo filed a notice of errata removing the overlapping area from the application. In Decision seven hundred nine six seven nine. In January twenty twenty five. The Commission approved the extension application Determining there was a need for water service in the extension area and that Global Water Accatiu was a fit and proper entity to serve these areas.
With respect to the overlapping area, decision seven nine se excuse me, seven nine six seven nine specifically noted Okay. There are two customers located in the overlapping area for Thunderhead Ranch. After the acquisition, Global will continue to serve the Tucson Water customers in the areas that are outside the C CNN approved in this decision. And the company is working with the other utilities to reach a permanent resolution. To address this, on June twenty-sixth, twenty twenty five, Global Water Akateo and Spanish Trails Water Company entered into a transfer agreement. Whereby Spanish Trails has agreed to transfer the overlapping area
