We will begin by taking appearances uh officially for the record. Starting with counsel for the securities division.

Good morning, Your Honor. This is Albert Brown. I go by Roy, so I'll get called both, but uh Um, Albert Brown, I am uh currently representing myself, but I don't intend to stay in this way. I need to have Um, I will have legal counsel as soon as I can work it out.

Okay. And and for the purpose of today you're also representing um Uh UL assets, is that correct?

Ms. Thomas, I'll I'll start with you. Uh where do things stand at at present? Uh what uh what what do we need to do with this case?

Um, your honors, um Mr. Brown requested a hearing date um up until I believe M uh February 2nd. Um, there's a possibility that it was being represented by Mr. Alan Baskin. Uh so my communications had been with Mr. Baskin up until that point uh regarding the filing of uh an answer in this case, as well as uh some The peanut production. Um now that Mr. Baskin is currently not retained on this case. Um the division is still uh essentially awaiting the production in Um our requested subpoena. It looked like we We're attempting to get information. I think we extended it until uh the beginning of January. Um so Uh that is kind of our main goal right now. We'd like to give Mr Mr. Brown some time, uh not too much time to to fulfill uh that request.

And if he gets new counsel, we may need to reforward that subpoena. uh

What issues are pending with the subpoena and hearing date options?

If we were to get a hearing date scheduled. Um looking at our calendar. Please think the I guess given the fluctuation of where we are currently in this case, um, either looking at possi the possibility of a mid July hearing date, um, it looks like the division is kind of booked through hearings between the end of July through early October. So at this time we'd either be looking at a mid July hearing date or a mid October hearing date.

Uh Ms. Thomas is it Does the division I mean but based on what you said regarding uh the penis and Mr. Brown's uh uh currently being between council Uh

schedule another procedural conference uh Maybe uh thirty days out. Uh as opposed to scheduling a hearing today? Or w what's your thought on that?

Uh y yes, your honor. Um the division would be open to to something of that nature. Um And my apologies, I wasn't entirely sure how close Mr. Brown was to uh the possibility of retaining counsel. Um, but yes, Your Honor, at this time in either a status conference or a another procedural conference, about thirty days out does does sound appropriate at this time.

Um Mr Brown, do do you have an idea where About how much time you're going to need to uh obtain new counsel.

Yes, I the only one that I've really talked to is Alan Baskin and um I attempted to uh talk to him before this meeting, but my hope is to be able to get him um engaged here. Um as your No doubt aware it's a It's a hefty financial obligation and so that's really the challenge that I'm working through to get um it's uh that I that I know of there's no other obstacle. And it appears like I'm ready to um uh fill that with him and so you know it Thirty day conference. would be ideal, I think, that would give me the time to work that out and give him time to really get down through everything going on.
