Okay. Um Thanks for the opportunity to uh leave public comments. I've read over all your proposals. And look at everything. And it would appear based on um the three rate increases. That the utility company wants would Um Increase. average people's monthly bill.

What arguments does Ms. Kaufman make against the proposed water and wastewater rate hikes?

Marcia Kossman 3:11

um in all three categories categories up to a hundred and forty two percent. Now I'm not opposed to any any utility company. certainly making uh infrastructure changes and having what's called a an average uh you know, a normal uh profit. But I think this rate increase would put way too much uh burden on homeowners. It's punitive in nature. It's not realistic by any means And It looks like it it's for the benefit of the shareholders' profit. I am requesting. And the other thing is the standard of living, as you know, has only been increased by uh Two point six percent. I would ask That the rates uh be granted at a reasonable amount.

How does the Commission handle the end of the first comment period and pause the hearing?

Marcia Kossman 4:13

And uh In line with the um standard inflation which is uh Basically at two point Four percent. in the standard of living, which is at two point six. Uh and to not go any higher than that. People's rates are being raised on everything. And I think it would be reasonable just just to raise them a small amount. Thank you for the opportunity to leave comments.
