Who are the parties and counsel appearing on the record?

uh twenty twenty five, at which time the parties requested additional time to explore a global settlement uh that would resolve both this matter as well as an investigation of the respondents by another governmental agency. I'm gonna turn first to the securities division. Uh, Ms. Schmidt, where do things stand at present?

Okay. I'll I'll go ahead and restart um So the The attorney that's handling the other matter with the Attorney General's office has been um relocated to a different bureau within their office. So they are um trying to determine if she's gonna continue handling the matter or if it'll be uh reassigned to another attorney or handled by their supervisor. Um I believe that she has spoken with uh Mr. Baskin in the past week or so as well. Um and so I we're very close to a consent.

What technical difficulties occurred and how were they resolved?

We just are waiting for the approval from that agency. So at this point I I I have not spoken with the other parties, but I believe that the um Plan would just be to

Okay. And ironically I was actually calling from a landline so I just called back on my cell phone, um, which seems to be working. But um yeah, so I think I haven't talked to um counsel for respondents, but I believe the plan would be to uh continue it out one more time to wait for a resolution um with the Attorney General's office.

Uh so so uh you you're suggesting that we set set this out again for another um status conference?

Yes, I am.

Why is another status conference being proposed and what timeline is suggested?

Um I we're just waiting to hear back. from that agency about whether this matter is going to be handled by the same individual or or transferred, in which case At that point I think we're gonna be able to reach a resolution fairly quickly as soon as we As they get their ducks in a row.

Okay. Um Ms. Ferdinand, I'll I'll I'll turn to you. What what uh Do your uh uh respondents uh have to say regarding uh another status conference or uh how we should uh handle the matter at this point.

We don't have an objection to resetting it for another status conference. Um we have also been relay the same information that the matter may be transferred or not.
