Thank you, Madam Mayor Colleagues. I would like to recognize Dr. Ruby Loban. She was a dedicated servant to our community, serving on the city of Lauder Hill. Education Advisory Committee and on the Martin Luther King Annual Events Committee for sever several years. She's a dear friend. She will be missed by all who have anything to do with her. I thank you.

Thank you. I'd like to um mention Martha Friedman, uh who I've known a long time. And uh She was my first appointment as a county commissioner to the library advisory committee. Uh I'd known her for twenty twenty-five years. Just a real champion of libraries, kids, uh and led a wonderful life. Um and condolences to Bernie and his entire family. Ryan. I will recognize uh Scott Silverdale, a uh Dania Beach resident, lifetime resident, uh my next door neighbor. Uh he passed away a week ago, and uh Scott was very active in the community. He was the president of the Dania Beach Rotary Club, was a member of the Fort Lauderdale JCs. Um he worked with uh with the state uh children and family services and um was a uh just a great all around guy and a friend of many.

like to add them. And probably a good point is the uh this is in Commissioner Dean's district. Just continue to pray for the MSD families. They took the building down, so just continue to pray for them. Thank you. And I too would just like to mention uh my friend Marta Friedman. Uh I um She uh had so many accomplishments and you'll hear about them. Uh we have an item today, a supplemental item to uh name a library after her. Now I know who got who gave her her start there. Uh but she was really I know. She was uh she w she was uh the really the matriarch of her family. She was a tower of strength. six years over six years struggling with this illness and um she is uh survived by uh her her mother and by her husband Bernie Friedman.

and her daughter Alana and son in law Jeff. And her adorable grandson Charlie, who because of her strength and determination She got to know a lot longer than one might might think. So that was a a gift. Um so I just uh hope everybody will keep uh Ernie and his and their family in their prayers. And let us honour all the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve. In our armed forces, both here and abroad, and thank them for their service.

Okay, welcome to the last commission meeting before we go on summer break. Um I thought I would get applause from that. Yeah, right. I I I know many of us are so excited that the Florida Panthers are up three games to one against the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup finals and we have the fifth game here tonight and I know that the entire county is rooting for them and I just have to say I looked all over to find a a shirt that would fit me, but they all only had three XLs and four XLs and my grandson flew into town specifically for this game from New York and he drove me yesterday over to Canesware and found a small size shirt that I could wear.
