What's up, Commission Chris Nelson, Fort Lauderdale taxpayer, who is very concerned about this and surprised that a lot of people aren't showing up today to talk about this plan of Commissioner Bogan, uh, which is like a ho socialized medicine scheme. And uh, I'm looking at this audit. And honestly, guys, and some of you guys aren't here today. Um Mayor Rich, I wish she was here today because she spoke up. Commissioner Udin spoke up. I read her article on the Sun Sentinel about this and totally agree with her. Guys, really, shame for even letting this thing get this far.
I mean, what the heck is this? We're paying $345,000 already to this Dr. Claudio Sheminsky for a consultant.

Consulting fee. Um we've got uh SeinCura implementation and contract administration fees of almost a million dollars that have been paid out for this. And this looks like a money funneling scheme. I mean I I'll just be clear with you. I I don't and I know that Commissioner Geller, when we we keep the uh the millage rate the same, um, and he says it's for police and firefighters and stuff, and then I see something like that. This? I'm like, uh-uh, no, it's not. This is waste right here, guys. Listen to what um Commissioner or Mayor Rich wrote, okay? Um, she opposes the uh sales tax increase to pray for routine cardiac CT anagrams um among qualifying residents because she says it lacks evidence-based medical support.
Look, we disagreed with everything during COVID, but man, we Even agree on this one. And then, so so, how many people have gotten this thing so far? So far, the county program has only scheduled screenings for about 3,200 people and used about $2.5 million of the $10 million pilot program budget. So what's gonna happen with these people? Now the people that decide that they have a problem with their heart now they have to pay out of pocket for uh for whatever treatment comes. After that? I mean, this makes no sense to me, and this reeks to me of possible corruption. I am very upset about this. Um now you want to put on the ballot a uh a question to the taxpayer asking, do you want to add an ad valorum sales tax uh or a tax on medical stuff things for $10 million?
Nah, no. No guys, and really how much did this cost so far to get to this point today? That is money that's been wasted, guys. It is. Alright, don't put this on the ballot. Shut this thing down. And really honestly, some of you guys need to be voted off this board for even bringing this uh as far as it's gone. Thank you.

I was gonna start a different way, but I'm gonna just first address This j this individual. It's okay. Two years ago when I came before you I wanted to let you know that half of all the mayors in Broward County gave their names of support to what I was doing two years ago. Um the constitutional officers lend their name supporting what we were trying to do. Business community, Keith Koenig, Matt Caldwell, Rita Case, Julia Rolak, Ron Bergeron, Austin Foreman. George Platt, Mike Moskowitz, Bill Rubin. Bernie Friedman, Ron Book. Dony Keith, National Association of Black Women in Construction. D Dan Lindblade, Bill Astrom, Walter Duke. Kevin Rader all signed on supporting this. Community leaders uh of the largest associations in your districts, from the beach to uh Kings Point to uh Century Village where Beam you were at to uh uh Galt Ocean Mile, the Hopewell Baptist Church, uh the South Broward Ministerial Alliance, uh Pastor O'Neill Dozer to Reverend Doctor Wiley Howard to Pastor Gary McLamore.
