He was representing us at the tourist industry, which is doing a great job up there.

And today's only public hearing item is item one. The public hearing on item one is now open. Item one is a motion to adopt resolution providing for fiscal year twenty twenty six assessment rates and amounts for non adval arms special assessment on private hospitals in Broward County to help finance supplemental payments pursuant to the Medicaid hospital directed payment program and the low income pool program. There are two members of the public signed up to speak.

those in which I I just would like to thank uh our staff and uh our uh legal uh eagles uh for putting this all together on extremely short notice because it is a num kind of an emergency. And I just wanna thank them because it's it's amazing that it got done all so quickly and Uh uh Anik Anik is uh is here. Anika is yeah. And uh just wanted to thank her and and everybody that had a hand in it of being able to get this. Yeah,
let me echo those thoughts, because this was this was very impromptu as this is our only item on today's agenda. We we kinda snuck it in here. And Commissioner Fisher.
It's just a personal privilege, uh uh uh mayor, just to say something about HGA Northwest. Um My uh son had twin boys, as you know, back in April. And they had to spend uh quite a bit of time at in the NIC unit. And I just want to thank them publicly for All the nurses and the doctors and everyone that was involved and and taking care of our two little boys was just It was just outstanding. So just personal privilege just to thank them. Thank you.

Thank you, Mr. Mayor, colleagues. I think we're for the benefit of the public who will benefit from what we're doing here. It needs to be explained because I'm always saying there's nothing about healthcare that is discussed here. And this is major the collaboration between the hospitals, Broward County, what we are actually doing, what are we committing to do?
