Good morning, everybody. This is the county board of county commissioners meeting of Tuesday, March 11, 2025. If everybody would please rise for the pledge of allegiance. And if Raymond is Raymond mercer or Michael durden here today? Come on up.

Remember Walter Snipes, Jr., you might know that name, Brenda Snipes' husband, who was a longtime educator who deeply cared about empowering our youth. He leaves behind a long legacy of philanthropy. He will be missed by everyone he has touched. May his soul rest in peace.
Thank you. Let us honor all the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in the Armed Forces, both here and abroad. and thank them for their service. We'll take a moment of silence.
OK, thank you. Please take your seats. I want to welcome everyone to the meeting. We've got a lot of proclamations and a lot of awards to give out today. And happy International Women's Day. There we go.
And the music today was selected by Commissioner Davis. She picked One Love and Could You Be Loved. Great, great, great picks. Both by Bob Marley. Wonderful choices. And thank you for breakfast. Today we have employee recognition for our employees who've worked here for 20 years or longer. And before I move on, I just want to take a moment to say how much we really appreciate all the work you all do. I know we've heard different things on a federal level where I don't think federal employees are being treated very well. And I think we do it different here. And I think the idea of trying to empower people and empower employees is something that we try to do on a regular basis. And I just want to say, you all make our lives and everybody's lives in this county infinitely better for everything you do.
So thank you from this commission. And let's reward everybody these 20 years.
35 Folks that we get to recognize and celebrate today. So as as the mayor said I really want to thank you. I am I'm really humbled to be Serving in this role. I thank the Commission for their support And certainly I want to thank each of you for each and every day for what you show up to do for our community it's a labor of love and I know that you have a tremendous amount of passion and and you show up every day with a lot of enthusiasm to try to solve the challenges we've got. So without further ado, we're gonna start celebrating our employees. So let's start with 20 years of service from Human Services Family Success Administration, Sonia Breland.
