Um And uh I would like us all to uh rise. I'd like to uh invite uh Norris Taylor to lead us in the pledge, if you would come forward. Norris Taylor. He's here forty years ago. Usually we do the rounds and There you go.

Ladies and gentlemen, uh, it is customary that we observe observe a moment of silence in honor of notable persons from our community. Who have recently passed. Colleagues, does anyone uh have anyone that you wish to remember at this time? Commissioner Mackenzie?
Good morning. Uh I have two, uh mayor this morning. Uh one is uh uh a dorsey riverbend um advocate Um They do. Um Jesse Adderley. who helped me fight many um Accomplishments in district three as a city commissioner. Uh County Commissioner. She helped with the YMCA, a lot of the affordable housing on Seventh Avenue, you see, the units, the Adderley gave it the official name, Athannonball Adderly. My neighbor, twice, once out of college. She was my director behind me, the fence, and when I came back to the city of Fort Lauderdale, she was three doors down. Uh just wanna have a moment of silence for her. And There's another one. I was at a funeral uh last week. Um Lee Irvin Smith. It's one of our own. And as I was reading
The obituary during the service. I realize Um his dash was more than a dash. Во за героїк акт. He was a Brown County transit. Supervisor. More than twenty years. But back in the early two thousands. He was man at his route. And two mental health patients. Board of the bus. And Tried to take over the bus. Hijack it. And it was a newspaper article from the Miami Herald. That validated these facts. Of the month his picture was on the side of the buses. But it took a little digging for me to really find out what this was. But I was fortunate enough to know him. As a young man, who was at his funeral, I'm very close with his family, and his family's here today, his wife, daughters, and Um and others are here. And I wanted to take a moment of privilege.
