Thank you so much. I'm pleased to welcome to the commission Eddie Edwards. He's a commissioner in the city of Miramar, and also his wife, Bridget, who is also here. This proclamation is recognizing the month of February as Reggae Month. Whereas reggae music, originating in Jamaica in the late 1960s, has evolved into a global phenomenon that promotes messages of peace, love, and unity, influencing cultures worldwide, earning UNESCO's recognition as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2018. And whereas the government of Jamaica officially declared February as Reggae Month on January 9th, 2008, to celebrate and highlight the profound impact of reggae music coinciding with Black History Month and honoring the February birthdays of reggae legends Bob Marley and Dennis Brown.
