Morning. Morning everybody. Welcome to our County Broward County Commission meeting. Today is September twenty second, twenty twenty six. And I'd like to ask everybody to please rise for Pledge of Allegiance and please remain standing uh and remove your heads. And I'd like to ask um I'd like to ask our county deputy county commissioner Kevin Kelleher to lead us in our pledge of allegiance. County Minister, sorry.
Please remain standing. Um it is customary that we observe a moment of silence in honor of notable persons from our community who have recently passed. I'm gonna go around the dais, start with uh Commissioner Geller. Mm-hmm. Let us also honor all the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces both here and abroad and thank them for their service and ask to pause for a moment of silence.

So again let's welcome everybody and our breakfast and music today was provided by uh Senator Geller and um Uh uh Senator Geller, would you like to open up uh one does Talk about our live band. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Um today's music selection and for those of you in the audience, this is the first time that we've done proclamations early, so for the choir, uh my apologies we didn't actually know uh how this was going to work. Uh we will be hearing one performance from uh wonderful performance by the Master Chorale of South Florida. They were playing earlier. I think most of you heard them in your uh Office because it was being broadcast. Special thanks to Kathy Sedlak, Chorus Administrator for Master Chorale of South Florida, and Brett Karlin, the artistic director, for coordinating this performance for Broward County.
I'm very happy to be able to provide live music today as a continuation of what some of you may remember is called the Geller series. I truly believe you can tell a lot about the soul of a county through its. cultural activity and programming. We are a wonderful, uh wonderfully county culturally diverse county, and I hope you will all enjoy this performance. Special thanks to Broward County uh Division Executive Assistant Ava Stringfellow and Assistant Director Amanda Kovac for helping to coordinate today's performance.
