I need to bring up one thing on the minutes real quick for correction under the new business, the FY 20 27 commission officer's election. It has the commissioners that were part of the committee as commissioner Milan, Neely and Wilden. So I need to correct that to commissioner Gaston as the three nominating committee members just for record.

It's been moved by Commissioner Wilden and seconded by Commissioner Neely. All those in favor, please say aye. Aye. Any opposed? That passes unanimously. All right, we'll get on to our business. And that first item of business does involve the nominating committee for commission leadership. That committee consisted, as we've just heard, Commissioner Millen, Commissioner Gaston and Commissioner Neely. They gathered together and I'm gonna I can find this real quick I'm gonna read what they had to do baby Douglas this is baby Douglas yes I know baby Douglas is really cute he's cuter than the other baby Douglas that we know about but that's another story um anyway um hold on just a second um what what what the committee does is the offices of the commission shall the officers of the commission shall be elected for a term of one year the chairperson will appoint a nominating committee in april the nominating committee will present a slate of officers at the may session the definition of a slate is one person per office

uh we have two offices so there will be two people on this slate additional nominations may be made from the floor the election of officers will take place at the june meeting and the chairperson and vice chair will take office on july 1st so um committee do you guys have a slate i was um blessed with

um per the committee as we at this time we have received one nomination for chair and that would be commissioner welton which was made on april 29th and one nomination for commissioner caprioli for vice chair that was made on april 29th Our deadline for nominations for the committee, as was stated by the chair last month, was for Friday, May 4th. So we are putting forward the two nominations we had within the timeframe and the deadline of Commissioner Welton for chair and Commissioner Caprioli for vice chair. And now we'll open it up for any other nominations from the floor for the chair.
