Thank you all for being here today. There are a number of items that we'll be discussing this afternoon. We have a number of people who have signed up to speak on a few of the items, and I welcome you to our conference meeting. Business one is the New River Crossing update part three. For some of you who are paying attention to this issue, this stemmed from a request by the commission to put this on conference agenda so that we could have
public input and also an update on any recent developments that have taken place with regard to the new river crossing project. Last meeting, Commissioner Sturman introduced a resolution for the City to consider with regard to selecting a preference between a tunnel and a bridge. The Commission decided The commission decided to defer the item until today, and at this point, it's scheduled to be discussed and voted upon at tonight's hearing. But for purposes of moving the conversation forward, the city commission has asked that this be put on the conference agenda, and at this point, I will defer now to the city manager.

Oh, you have laryngitis now? Staff has prepared a presentation. They're going to take over. Okay. Mr. Rogers. Good afternoon, Mayor, Commissioners, Ben Rogers, Director of Transportation Mobility. So if IT can load the first presentation, it's going to be a staff presentation, just a brief overview of what we've done over the last 60 days. There's been a lot of conversation on this topic, a lot of information and some actions taken. So we'll summarize that. And then yesterday, via Commission Memo 23-158, the city manager provided additional materials that BDO has provided that will be shared and presented by BDO. And that is some of the work that they've done as part of their initial purchase order to help define the project and giving you an update on that.
One thing that's not included today, but I do think is important, especially given the decisions that are going to be made tonight, is that there's some working documents that BDO has been working on that weren't ready for presentation, but they do have draft formats.
How is the New River Crossing update (Part 3) presented and what are the key design details?
They have to deal with cost estimates. They have to deal with some visuals of what a tunnel would look like. So while that wasn't prepared in advance, they do have those materials should the commission want to review those or ask questions about any of those considerations. Those are available for this afternoon's meeting? That's correct.

the first presentation, IT, if you can do it, Exhibit 1, please, will be just a quick overview by me, and then we'll go to the BDO presentation. By the way, Ben, let me just – I brought this up in our agenda briefing, but I want to bring this up one more time. vociferously to getting important information like this the day before we're going to be addressing this in a Commission meeting I say it before I will say it again I hopefully don't have to say it again another time I don't ever want to be getting information that's critical to a decision that we have to make of this magnitude the day before Commission meeting please proceed
All right. So the first thing, again, was just to do a recap on what's happened over the last 45 to 60 days. So back on November 7th, staff did a presentation where we looked at the reports and the studies that were done to date,
had
a high-level overview and a timeline of everything, and also included an introduction to the REIA grant and where we were with that project. At that meeting, the commission requested that we bring some of the consultants and some of the interested stakeholders to the commission meeting for additional conversation. So on November 21st, we had FDOT attend, Aiken Gump, our federal lobbyist, and then some of the consulting groups that did studies and reports for this project.
