i'm fine thank you happy new year well we had been invited to attend the revitalization of the H1 Hemershoe District. And so at that point, it seemed like a logical motion to make to extend that into the Seattle Bend Historic District to bridge the two because from our understanding is that it's a priority for the city and so if that's the case then we need to make some kind of effort to revitalize it and bring it back to life and to see that it's a visible part of our community and that it's important part of our community so Therefore, to do that, either do a charrette or to do a research project or consultants to help in that process to explore the ways in which we could implement a more effective way of presenting the historic aspect of our city.

Sure. Well, thank you, Mayor, and Happy New Year, everybody. First of all, Mr. Bray is correct. We recently had that revitalization workshop. As you remember, last January, we did talk about the Himishi District as one of our commission priorities and goals, and work has commenced on that, and I thank staff for all of that, and we're moving forward with that. to make sure that we're activating that area and making sure that that area is everything that it needs to be, especially with everything that we're seeing happening in and around it with Broward Boulevard development. I concur with Mr. Bray. I think this is a great idea. I read through some of the backups, so I saw the minutes and I saw the discussion.

I've also been involved in discussions with folks from the Sailboat Band Civic Association. That would be my concern. I would want to make sure that we're all at the table. I would want to make sure that the neighborhood had a very strong part in this plan of bridging the two. But it makes perfect sense. They're neighboring districts. They're both historic districts. Cebu is the only residential historic district in Fort Lauderdale. And obviously, Himishi is a historic district as well. So this makes perfect sense. I think that we should do all that we can to make sure that this is a reality. Again, my focus would be to make sure that we're bringing in folks, not just from the Historic Preservation Board, but also from the neighborhood to make sure that everyone has a seat at the table.
