We have uh a number of items on the agenda, mostly presentations. So I uh w we have no communications from any of the advisory boards or committees. So we might as well just write uh first of all let me welcome back uh Commissioner Sorensen. Thank you. Nice to see you again. Um And uh s we'll begin with business one, Las Olas Central Coastal Bridge Rehabilitation Project Update. Mr. Rogers or oh Milos, thank you.
Good afternoon. Uh my name is Milos Mystorovich. I'm acting director for the City's Transportation and Mobility Department. So uh today we have staff from the Florida Department of Transportation and their project team. Uh they'll be talking to us about the upcoming uh Las Olas Bridge rehabilitation project that takes place in uh spring of uh twenty twenty six. Uh they will be going over the the next
stop. They're gonna do this in spring break time?
Uh the project is to start in twenty twenty six, but there will be no work during the spring break or any special events and they will be going over that.
Okay, so okay. All right.
Uh so they will go over the project needs. Uh They will go over project knee, they'll go over proposed improvements, uh schedule construction impacts and ways to mitigate those impacts. Um, I do want to commend FDOT for coming to us so far in advance. They really started coordinating with us uh last year in twenty twenty three. Uh they were really listening to our concerns, they were uh changing the ways of delivery of this project, and they continue to be uh flexible and they committed to staying busy. East be flexible during construction in order to uh really provide for the appropriate level uh of mobility to our residents and visitors. So I will turn it over to them.

You're good. You're good. Uh good afternoon. My name is Tug Lee. I'm with the Department of Transportation. And I'm also serve as the project manager um for the East Las Olas Boulevard Bridge Improvement. Along with me today I have to do it. Does

Oh yeah. I have a feeling it's gonna be well dialed. Oh yeah. And um Along with me today I have Mr. Josh Bemel. He is a consultant of um project manager. And also with me today is Mr John Danielson. He's the senior structure lead. And um we would I don't want to get ahead of just presentation, but um we're here to talk about the proposed improvement for the project, the construction impacts, the benefits, costs, schedule, and close out the presentation with question and answer if we might. John.

Uh so Tuck just went through the introductions uh of our team. Today here is uh uh uh again John Danielson. He's our uh our our team senior structural engineer and the engineer of record for the the bridge work. And my name is Joshua Bamel. I'm the uh engineer of record and the project manager for the project. And again just briefly the agenda we're going to go through today, the the project location and overview. Uh summary the the public outreach and communication we've done thus far and the concerns we've heard. Uh the proposed improvements, which you'll find very exciting. The construction impacts will you you'll find even more exciting. And the project benefits, schedule, and cost, and then we'll have time at the end for some questions and answers.
