Good evening everybody and welcome to the city commission meeting this june eighteenth, twenty twenty four. Thank you all for being here tonight. For those of you who are here for the first time, first of all, let me apologize for the delay in the meeting. We had uh uh protracted proceedings this afternoon that brought us um That brought us into the evening uh timeframe. So Um Thank you for being here. For those of you here for the first time, um there's a certain order of uh of uh protocol that we follow. Uh we start with our Pledge of Allegiance and then we uh have a moment of silence and we move into various agenda items and then we have presentations in which we recognize individual events or um uh or activities that are happening in our city.
Tonight we have four such presentations which will be um started by I guess uh um Members of the Commission. So let's begin. If I could ask you all please rise and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated. Please join me in a moment of silence uh for Um especially with regard to two people who passed away, uh Brent Rudemiller Rudemiller, uh connected with the uh International Swimming Hall of Fame, and former Mayor Robert Dressler.

Here. We have a quorum tonight. A couple of agenda announcements. M four is being removed per as a result of a request by the city manager's office. Same with R seven. And we do have a walk on. uh as it was indicated this afternoon it's a walk on regarding authorization for the city uh manager to contribute up to a hundred thousand dollars to a uh um a a Panthers hockey club event. And that's about it. So do I hear a motion to approve? The agenda as amended and the and the minutes.
Okay, and uh
Oh excuse me, no no minutes, just the approval of the agenda as amended. So M four and R seven? Yeah, those are both removed from the uh from the uh agenda. Some of Do I hear a second? Second. If the move is seconded, please call the roll.

Yes, thank you. And uh if the following people that did RSVP could join me uh at the podium, uh that'll be great. I would love to call up Robert Keston, who's going to be uh accepting the proclamation uh on behalf of everyone. Uh he is the executive director with the Stonewall Museum and National Archives. By the way, if you have not seen their recent exhibit, get there. It's gonna go on a 10-year tour around the United States. Please check it out. Uh but it is actually an amazing exhibit all about Stonewall. Uh also with us this evening, we have Michael Albeda, president of Lakeridge Association, also with Florida LGBTQ Plus Democratic Caucus. We have Robert Buu, Chief Officer, Executive Chief Officer with Pride Center, Todd Del May, Executive Director, SAFE Foundation, Vanessa Ferguson, Community Engagement, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Bud Beeler, Flockfest.
We have Sabrina Havellana, the Foundation of the Foundation Office of County Mayor, Nan Rich, we have Matt Stenning with Prism, we have Joel Slotnik, uh with Christ Church, we have Amy Elowitz, we also have from SunSurve. Tony Lima, CEO. We have Mario DePedro and also Alex Spriggs with SunServe. And also with the Florida LGBTQ Democratic Caucus, we have Stephen Gaskell, Immedia Past President, and Christian Browdy, Vice President. Uh Equality Florida, we have Mary Eakens Duran, political and special campaign manager, and Giancarlo Castellanos.
