Good evening, everybody, and welcome to the City Commission um regular meeting this September seventeenth, twenty twenty four. Thank you all for being here today. Um Before we begin just for those of you who are here for the first time, welcome. And uh there's a certain protocol that we follow. We start out with a pledge of allegiance and uh and a um moment of silence. And then um we get into our agenda. But and before we do that We have presentations and tonight we have four presentations and I see we have some very lovely people from the community here to help participate in them. So looking forward to that. Um so as we begin I would like to invite from the the Bass Park Trip Team program, um Kalki uh Khalid Gordon, Otisha Hunter, Layla Flores, and Nia Fishley, if you could please join me at the podium as we

Here. We have a full attendance tonight. A couple of agenda announcements. Uh CM thirteen, the city manager asked to remove that from the agenda as well as C M fourteen. The applicant requests to remove from the agenda. We also have a change in C M nine. The CAM was revised to correct the meeting date and the background section. Okay, if there are no questions or comments, uh would someone please move to cl to uh Uh I move to approve to accept to approve the agenda as amended as well as the minutes. on the minutes of august twentieth, twenty twenty four, uh that would be um let's see, page one. And that is the one thirty PM meeting. If you look at the last paragraph, uh there's a sort of a combination of two neighborhoods there
in the acronym uh from District Two. It should just be SMRCA. It's South Middle River Civic Association. There's no T. I think that T is maybe from Middle
River Terrace,
but uh
it should just be SMRCA uh when talking about uh that neighborhood.

So let us now begin with our presentations and I'm very, very honored and uh uh honored to welcome the folks here from uh from the uh People's Republic of Ch uh excuse me, the Republic of China. Um I'd like uh the folks to know that uh I had the opportunity a few years ago to visit Taiwan and uh uh and to visit our sister city there, Kao Shung, and uh And very happy to now welcome uh our folks from Taiwan as I present this proclamation recognizing the hundred and thirteenth national day of the Republic of China and if I could please ask our Director General, Charles Cho to please join me at the podium.
