Meeting here this this November nineteenth, twenty twenty four. Thank you all for being here tonight. Uh for those of you who are here for the first time, uh welcome. And uh just let you know there's a certain format that we follow. Start out with the Pledge of Allegiance and then we uh go through the agenda and the announcements. And tonight we have uh several presentations in which we recognize individuals or organizations in connection with an event or some occurrence that is happening this month. But before we do that, um I guess I needed to complete this business from a few moments ago. Uh I need to declare that the executive closed or session of the city commission is now terminated and the public meeting is now reopened.

Um and uh a walk on resolution d accepting the certificate of the Broward County Canvassing Board and declaring the results of the twenty twenty four municipal uh election. We have another change to the to the agenda, CR six, um, to add the addition of the location of uh Commission District number four. The first presentation, I'd like to uh invite Susan Leon, who's our Chief Education Officer, uh, to provide to us a Dillard Innovation Zone student recognition. On behalf of the City of Fort Lauderdale City Commission and the City Manager's Office, we are excited to present to you this evening the student recognition for sni students in the Dillard Innovation Zone. The student recognition is based on the eight essential core character traits as identified after extensive public involvement by the School Board of Brought Broward County. The character traits are cooperation, responsibility, citizenship, kindness, respect, honesty, self-control, and tolerance. So at this time, the following students were selected by their school to be here tonight to be honored for this recognition. So I'm going to start. With Jay Sprintson from Rock Island Elementary School.

Yeah. Jace exemplifies outstanding character and is a model student both in and out of the classroom. He consistently demonstrates his great effort in his schoolwork, academics. He also shines as a caring and supportive big brother to his classmates, his younger sister, and always shows kindness and patience.
