Good evening everybody and welcome to the City Commission meeting this December 3rd, 2024. Thank you for being here tonight. I know that there are a number of people here who would like this meeting to end early so we can all join the festivities of the Christmas on Las Olas. I'll just hand it a stack of people who want to talk tonight so we'll see how we get through this. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME, WELCOME AND THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN TONIGHT'S MEETING. WHAT WE OFTEN DO IS WE START OUT WITH THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, WE GO THROUGH SOME HOUSEKEEPING CHORES AND THEN WE HAVE PRESENTATIONS. TONIGHT WE HAVE ONE PRESENTATION AND WE'RE VERY PROUD TO WELCOME Rita Case here at our meeting, and she's going to talk to us a little bit about the toy drive, which she and her family have done for many, many years here in our community.

Zachary is the public information officer from Broward County Animal Care, and he has a few things he'd like to talk with us about.

Well, good evening, everyone. Thank you for having us here. I'm Zachary Rankins, as the mayor said, public information officer with Broward County Animal Care, the county's official... pet adoption, and animal welfare agency. We take pride in protecting our residents and serving their animals. We want to invite the entire community, yes, the entire community, to our upcoming free wellness clinic. And at our free wellness clinics, residents have the opportunity to get free microchips, vaccinations, and also preventatives. We are hosting our welfare clinic on Friday, December 13th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tyrone Bryant Branch Library, located at 2230 Northwest 21st Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. All residents from Fort Lauderdale, Mr. Mayor, are available to attend.
