Good evening everybody and welcome to the City Commission meeting this May sixth, twenty twenty five. I wanna apologize to the community for our our delayed start, but our afternoon meeting ran pretty late. So I appreciate your patience and welcome. For those of you who are here for the first time, uh welcome to our city commission meeting and uh uh we thank you for partaking in the business of the commission tonight. Um Uh w what the process that we follow here is we begin our evenings with the Pledge of Allegiance and then a moment of silence and then we get into our agenda. But before we even do that we have presentations. Tonight we have five presentations and these presentations are regard are are

regarding either events that are taking place in our city, recognizing individuals or groups or s in some way somet sometimes uh acknowledging uh activities that are taking place in our city and acknowledging those individuals that are part of that. So here we are tonight. Uh I'd like to begin by inviting Mahogany Tillman. Mahogany, you here? There she is. Uh she will join she's a senior at Dillard High School and I ask her to join me at the podium and uh we'll together do the Pledge of Allegiance, so please stand.

Thank you. So before we begin, uh I have a few Employee retirements to announce. Uh we take this time in our meetings to recognize those individuals who have worked with our city at least ten years and tonight we have some really uh long term employees who are now retiring. I'd like to announce Daniel Rizone, uh police officer who's been with us for seventeen and a half years. Thank you, Daniel, for your uh service to our community.

Joseph Georgiana, who has been an HVAC technician and parks and recreation, he's been with us twenty years. Congratulations, George Joe. Al battle. Where's Al? We miss Al. He's been with uh he was the uh uh uh uh DSD director. Uh most recently the D S C Director and he's been with us uh for twenty years. Thank you so much for your service, Al. Last meeting was his last meeting. David Bagurin uh Baguin, uh who is a firefighter and paramedic. Uh he has been with us for twenty five years. Thank you, David, for your service. Uh Avis Wilkinson. No. Avis was the assistant housing and community development manager for DSD. She was with us for twelve years. Thank you, Avis, for your service. And last but certainly not least, uh okay.

Uh Robert Kasserowicz, who's been a captain with our fire department, was with us twenty nine years. So thank you, Robert. Thank you everybody for for your continuing commitment to the city of Fort Lauderdale for all those many years. Um agenda announcements. PH five is being removed from the agenda. And Mr. Clerk, would you please call the role?
