twentieth, twenty twenty five. Thank you for attending. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome. We appreciate your coming here and watching the wheels of justice take place, right? Um So Uh we begin our meetings with uh Pledge of Allegiance and then we we follow with certain uh procedural matters and then ultimately we come to a point where we have presentations and presentations are usually where we recognize individuals, events, or things that are important our in our community. And tonight we have five of those, so uh it's exciting, and uh so we hope you can stay for them and uh be part of that celebration. So let us begin and I can ask you all to please rise and I'd like to invite uh Jason Joseph from Dillard High School to m uh to meet me at the podium so we can begin the Pledge of Allegiance.

Uh Jim Nodder, who was the former Broward County Public School Superintendent, as well as uh World War Two veteran, uh Mr. Thomas Dowdy Jr., who was a hundred years old. A hundred years old. So let's just take this moment of silence together.

Great, thank you. Uh we have a couple of announcements regarding uh uh retirements. Uh folks from our who have re served with us for uh quite a few years like to make the announcements of their retirement. David Aggler, who uh was a court liaison supervisor in our police department, he served with us for twenty seven and a half years. Uh Maria uh Sulal Hall, who is administrative aide in the police department and she served with us twenty five years. And Peggy Roddy, public safety aide, also in the police department. She served with us almost thirty years, twenty nine point five years. So congratulations and I wish you the best in your retirement. Thank you for your devotion and commitment to our city all those many, many years.

Uh and I would ask that the members of uh well tonight's a special occasion because the Fort Lauderdale High School mock trial team has been the are the winners of the Florida mock mock trial state championship. So congratulations Well I know so I would I would like to invite uh Susan Leon, who is our chief education officer, to join me at the podium and she will also call the names of the winners who participated in the event and and we'll be providing everyone with a certificate this e this evening.
