What opening formalities and roll call set the stage for the meeting?
This December 2nd, 2025, I apologize for the delay. We had an extended special meeting this afternoon, and we will actually continue with that conversation later in the meeting. For those of you who are here for the first time, welcome to our commission meeting, and thank you for being here. Every commission meeting, we begin with the Pledge of Allegiance in a moment of silence, and THAN WE DO GO THROUGH THE AGENDA. WE ALSO HAVE PRESENTATIONS NORMALLY, BUT TONIGHT THERE WILL BE NO PRESENTATIONS. I KNOW YOU'RE ALL SAD ABOUT THAT, BUT WE'RE TRYING TO HAVE AN ABBREVIATED MEETING SO THAT WE CAN GET THROUGH THE BUSINESS OF THE AGENDA, AND I KNOW TONIGHT IS CHRISTMAS SAN LASOLAS, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO GO THERE TONIGHT.
SO HAVING SAID THAT, I'D LIKE TO INVITE ZURI WILLIAMS AND ZOE WILLIAMS. ARE YOU BOTH HERE? Where are you? Right there. Over there. And is Michaela Jones here? She's not. Okay. Can you join me up at the podium?
Can I
ask you all to please stand? Come over here. Put your hand on your heart. Put your hand on your heart. No. That's it. Like that. Okay. And go for it.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Wonderful! Is your mom or your daddy here? Yes, my aunties. Can your family come up here? Raquel, can you see who their family is so they can come up here for a picture? Come on up here. Let me take a picture with
you
all. Is someone from Strategic Communications here? You want to take our picture?
And
Pam, come on,
join us.
Thank
you. I have a
little something
for you. Thank you so much for participating tonight. Merry Christmas to you.
So Zuri is nine years old and Zoe is seven, and they both attend Walker Elementary School.
So
may I ask you all to please join me in a moment of silence?
Thank you. Mr. Clerk, please call the roll.
Vice Mayor Herbst. Commissioner Glassman.
Here.
Commissioner Beasley-Pittman. Here. Commissioner Sorensen.
Here.
Mayor Trentals.
Here. So we have no agenda announcements. So would someone like to move to approve the agenda and the minutes for tonight's meeting?
Move.
Second. If it moves to second it, please call the roll.
Commissioner Sorensen.
Yes.
Vice Mayor Herbst. Commissioner Glassman. Yes. Commissioner Beasley-Pittman. Yes. Mayor Trentals.
Yes. And tonight's agenda and the minutes from the previous meeting are now approved. NOW WE GO TO THE CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ANYONE WHO WISHES TO PULL ANY ITEM FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA. IF AN ITEM IS PULLED FROM THE CONSENT AGENDA, IT WILL BE DISCUSSED AND VOTED ON SEPARATELY. SO I'LL ASK THE COMMISSION, ARE THERE ANY CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS WHICH THEY'D LIKE TO PULL? VICE MAYOR? COMMISSIONER BEASLEY-PITTMAN?
NONE.
I HAVE NONE. COMMISSIONER GLASMAN? NONE. COMMISSIONER SORENSEN? NONE. NONE. SO LOOKING AT THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SIGNED UP TO SPEAK, AND IT'S JUST FOR QUESTIONS ONLY, ELAINE LAURENT AND CHRISTINA DISBRO, JUST FOR QUESTIONS.
MAYOR, I MADE A MISTAKE. I APOLOGIZE. I DIDN'T WANT TO PULL CP3. I APOLOGIZE.
OKAY, EXCEPT FOR CP3, DO I HEAR A MOTION TO APPROVE THE REST OF THE CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS?
SO MOVED.
SECOND. MOVED AND SECONDED. PLEASE CALL THE ROLL.
COMMISSIONER SORENSON?
YES.
VICE MAYOR HURST? YES. COMMISSIONER GLASMAN?
YES.
COMMISSIONER BEASLEY-PITTMAN? YES. MAYOR TRINTALE?
YES. AND ALL THOSE ITEMS ARE NOW APPROVED. SO IF YOU HEAR ON ANY OF THOSE CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS, YOUR ITEM HAS NOW BEEN APPROVED. YOU'RE WELCOME TO STAY FOR THE REST OF THE MEETING. IF NOT... All right. So CP3 regarding the Annie Beck House renovations. Commissioner.
Yes. Thank you, Mayor. First of all, I want to thank city staff and also getting me all of the information that I requested on this. For those of you that might not remember, in 2008, the city was very generous, and we actually moved that house to its current location in Middle River Terrace Park. Mayor, I think you remember when we watched that house make its trip, because that house was going to be demolished. It's one of the oldest structures in our city, and it really sits very lovingly right now in Middle River Terrace Park.
