The executive closed-door session of the City Commission is now terminated, and the public meeting is now reopened. At this point, I'm reopening the conference meeting from this afternoon, but I will now call it in recess so that we can begin our regular evening meeting. Thank you. Before we begin our regular meeting, I want to first take a moment and recognize TWO RETIREMENTS FROM OUR CITY STAFF. THESE ARE LONG-TERM EMPLOYEES. FIRST I'D LIKE TO RECOGNIZE AARON BURKE, POLICE OFFICER, WHO'S BEEN WITH US FOR 20 YEARS. THANK YOU, AARON, FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR CITY. AND THEN I'D LIKE TO ALSO RECOGNIZE JAMES HUGHES, WHO'S BEEN IN PUBLIC WORKS AS A MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR. HE'S BEEN WITH US FOR 28 YEARS. SO THANK YOU SO MUCH, JAMES. Mr. Clerk, please call the roll. PRESENTATIONS ARE NORMALLY AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CITY TO RECOGNIZE INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS, OR EVENTS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE OR ARE ABOUT TO TAKE PLACE HERE IN OUR CITY.

WE HAD A SPECIAL PROGRAM BEFORE THE MEETING, AND WE RECOGNIZED OVER THREE DOZEN TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS IN OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM. AND SUSAN, THE FLOOR IS YOURS. Thank you.

And good evening. We are so excited on behalf of this city commission and the city manager's office to celebrate the teachers of the year from the schools in the city of Fort Lauderdale. So as the mayor said, we held a reception earlier and got to individually meet and take a picture with each one. And we are so pleased and excited and happy for you. Congratulations.
