What is the purpose and agenda of the May 7 2026 Facility Standards Manual Public Review Committee meeting?
All right. Well, I'd like to thank everyone that's logged in so far. Hopefully we get couple more members to join us. Uh but in the meantime, I'd like to call to order the May 7th, 2026 Facility Standards Manual Public Review Committee meeting. Uh for the record, this meeting is being conducted as an all-virtual public meeting as provided for in Virginia Code Section 2.2-3708.3. And committee members disclose that they are members of one or more affected groups and their respective declarations of interest are kept on file in the minutes of the Facility Standards Manual Public Review Committee.
Snay. All right.
Um I'm assuming we don't have any public comments or anybody from the general public joining us.
Not that I've seen.
Okay. Uh Laura, if you want to just go ahead and lead into the bylaws and uh present the minutes from our last meeting, that'd be great.
Sure, yes. Um so in terms of the bylaws update, the transportation and land use committee recommended approval of the amended FSM PRC bylaws at the April twenty-second meeting. And we expect that item to be moving forward to the board for the May nineteenth board business meeting. Um, with a recommendation of approval. And then of course we have our minutes from our April sixteenth meeting. Oh, I'm just gonna go ahead and put those on the screen. As you might recall, that was an archaeology discussion. We actually finalized the draft archaeology amendments. I will be sending them out to the uh committee. The thought was that Um they're the next step for the user is to go out on agency referral. And um If we finish the fire marshals office text today, we'll probably send both those items together on the referral.
Um and then we had a short Um note here on the gated communities. And I sent a follow up email when I sent the agenda items for this meeting out asking for Recommendations. And Kevin, I can um once we're done with the minutes, I can provide a brief update on what I've received for the Gate work group.
That'd be great.
But I know you want to take action on these minutes first. So if anybody has any edits, um On the minutes, they were pretty short last time.
And I wasn't present for that meeting, so uh entertain uh A motion to approve if uh the committee members are so inclined.
Кам'ян. Um Was that Drew?
Okay. Thanks, Drew.
Thanks, Drew. Yeah, I only see three people at a time on my screen right now. So
Um
Uh was there a second?
All second. That's not ugly. Okay, thanks, right?
Thank you. Uh for the record, all in favor, please say aye. Aye. Are there any opposed? All right. They're approved, Laura. Thank you for putting those together.
So for the as far as the gate work group goes, um, bear with me, I'm admitting people. I think we've got just about everybody. So if you see me like hesitate and click, it's because I'm admitting people to the meeting. But um for the gate work group, we so far have one volunteer and that's Pete. We're looking for a second PRC member to volunteer. And we also have three recommendations for traffic consultants. We've got Tushar Awar from Grove Slade. Chris Turnbull from Wells and Associates, and Les Adkins from Galloway. So I don't know exactly how you want to approach this, Kevin, if people want to speak from the floor, if there's anybody to be added. I'm anxious to get this work group moving so we could get through the process.
Right. So I'd I would just ask if there's anyone interested in participating. I had told Laura that um if if we don't have any other committee members that are available, um I would be happy to tag team with Pete just so we can have two uh committee members on the work group. Uh I think it's important to have two just uh as we relay the information back to the committee. Um, you know, sometimes one person hears things one way versus another and uh as well as just have that direct input to the group. So Oh. open the floor and see if anyone's interested in in joining that work group.
How many meetings are you guys planning on having?
So we were talking about initially two meetings and then others as needed.
