Supervisor Lawson. Okay, very good. Good afternoon. It is 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26th. I thought it was the 24th. Today we have with us Pastor Will Archer from Potomac Valley Church to give our invocation. Welcome, Pastor Archer. So good to see you again.

All right, thank you. Thank you so much. Chair, thank you so much to all of you. We're so grateful for this opportunity to be able to take time to pray to God, to really direct this meeting and all the proceedings that come from this. Let's go to God in a word of prayer. Our God and Father, I thank you so much for your kindness and your grace. You've truly blessed us, God, to be here in this incredible Commonwealth of Virginia. in this county here in Prince William. We thank you, God, for all of the residents, God, over 500,000 souls that you love, our children, our older people, everyone, black, white, Latino, Asian, young and old God, you have blessed us in so many ways. I pray God that you would bless this meeting.

I pray that all that is discussed will help to advance the cause of this community. I pray God that you'd give wisdom, wisdom to all of our elected officials, temperance, guidance, and clarity. That you'd give wisdom and temperance to all of us as citizens as we come together to fight for this community. God, I pray for so many who are struggling in our community, in our county. who are struggling with food insecurity, they're struggling with the challenges that have been going on in the world, that are struggling with mental health challenges. I pray that your spirit would speak to them and comfort them and that your spirit would move through all of us to be your hands and your feet to serve and to bind up our community.

Whereas since 1987, the Dale City Farmers Market has been at the forefront of serving Prince William County residents with nearly 50 vendors in the summer and more than 30 in the winter. It serves as one of the largest open air markets in the region. And whereas farmers market across the country continue to expand opportunities for producers to sell directly to consumers, shortening the supply chain, and providing fresh food access to our diverse communities. And whereas farmers market, like the Dell City Farmers Market, have become the nexus for community engagement, bridging an essential connection between urban and rural neighborhoods that facilitate the exchange of ideas, support systems, and resources.
