And then we get a shootout in which Kuro Kaprizov scores the only goal.

The Wild wins.

We were going to do this show regardless.

And I think it was going to be very easy to say, the Wild didn't show up.

What was that?

The building was not full.

Felt pretty dead.

But more importantly, the home team in the first period into the second period felt dead as well.

But after that, man, it really changed.

And this went from being what I thought was a pretty...

a snore fest of a game to a game that in the third period and OT turned actually pretty intense was fun but a very very odd game I thought in how it sort of played out in its totality how about you yeah I mean it was a very weird game just from the start the wild I think it was about as bad of a five minutes to start the game as it could have been for them they look like lifelifts against the team that's lesser than them

The only really, really cute one that didn't work and was frustrating was that four-on-one that involved Kaprizov, who passed to Hughes, who passed to Kaprizov, who took a shot that hit the side of the net.

And so, yeah, I mean, this was definitely a game, and we talked about this,

as we sat side by side here in the press box, this was a game in which you had to, which it was very clear, if you were going to come back and win, which the Wild did, and they get full credit, they were going to need to play it the way that they did.

Quite frankly, a lot of guys just didn't have good nights.

The last two periods, I thought, despite the fact you took back-to-back penalties, I thought Boldy, the last two periods, especially on the PK, when he wasn't the guy serving a penalty, looked fantastic.

And but besides that, Faber, tough night.

Quinn Hughes, not a great night.

He's still damn good.

But just a lot of guys didn't have their most effective nights.
