That's the hyper independent, self-reliant part of me.
And the other part of it, though, so that was a part of the pattern that I became aware of.
I think there was another healing that happened as well, where I recognized that between my mom and my dad, you know, having the stepmom in my life from nine to 17, where my brother and I weren't allowed to really have friends, weren't allowed to go to, we had to earn going to school activities.

She wasn't allowed to be really because we'd get in trouble anytime we came back.
We didn't see her at all until I was 15 and 16 when my dad divorced her.

So you didn't see your mom for like five, six years?
Nope.
Yeah, apparently.
It was weird.
No, my mom was here.
She tried.
But any time we'd go over to our mom's house, we'd come back, and we'd get in so much trouble that eventually it wasn't worth it.
