So we didn't have a relationship with my real mom until I was 16, 17 years old.
The divorce happened.
Ugh.
Which was, of course, hard, you know.
But there was definitely an energy there where I was like, why did my dad allow my ex-stepmom to have so much power, right?
Yeah.
Yep.
Yeah.
That was all a part of it.
And the healing for me was seeing that in this family constellation dynamic, the thing that was said between my mom's mom and my mom's dad, the reason my mom's mom allowed it to happen because was because it kept the family together.
And that was very hard to see.
But then I recognized that like, oh, my dad was just trying to keep the family together, even though there was pain and like, you know, and all of that.
It's funny how either side, because I used to win either way.
Right.
Yeah.
I think, I think for myself, I felt growing up, I had some friends that like had their same mom, same dad, like together.
And I'd always feel a little bit like jealous of that.
And then I remember talking to certain friends and they're like, trust me, it's not that great.
Sometimes it's not, you know, sometimes it is, but it was like, it's interesting.
