But the Oilers...
You can't write them off simply because if Dreisaitl gets back and they have McDavid, and Bouchard is an unbelievable player, and Haim and Nugent Hopkins, there's a bunch there.
But at the same time, you are what you are, and you are what your record is.
And Edmonton is an average hockey team, and they've got a lot of flaws.
And I think they'll ultimately get into the postseason,
And if they play in the Pacific Division, which they do, I mean, sure, they could beat Vegas or Anaheim in round one.
Absolutely.
It's just that the Pacific Division is laughable.
It is.
Laughable, especially when you compare it to whatever's going on out east.
And I think the same applies to the Ottawa Senators, right, who are getting terrible goaltending for the vast majority of the season.
But things seem to have straightened out.
And what a performance from Brady Kachuk last night.
Fights off the opening draw, the Islanders captain, Anders Lee, and then he scores the game-winning goal with, I believe, 19 seconds left.
And Brady has been under some fire in Ottawa.
Again, he hasn't been fighting, which is uncommon for him.
That's a guy who drops the glove seemingly all the time.
back in the day he is coming back off a broken thumb very true again he said he said as much yesterday after the game and said yeah i've been dealing with injuries but i felt it was time and it was spirited tilt as you'd expect against a tough guy like anders lee and then scores that goal which really keeps ottawa alive again everybody won last night in the eastern conference if ottawa
lost a regulation or even picked up a single point in overtime or a shootout, all of a sudden you're staring at a near impossibility, like a mathematical impossibility for the Senators to get in.
It is possible they get in.
