But in the domestic use case, it's a little more challenging to see it.

There's certainly a lot of arguments why people would want to hold stablecoins, because they can kick off rewards, they can be safer than bank accounts in terms of savings.

But in terms of using them for payments, I think it's a bit longer of a

of a road roadmap.

And so, you know, that's something that we're currently debating within the committee is how to, or within the work group is, you know, what kind of a timeline do we put on this?

And we want to focus on cross border for now, and then look at the domestic case further down the road once it's better defined.

Yeah.

Yeah, well, I think if you break it down, agents are just large language models with tools.

So in this case, a wallet and commerce is giving the model, the AI model, the ability to buy things on your behalf.

So it's as simple as that.

But the implications are wide ranging, because if you think about how disruptive AI has been to search,

that Google has AI mode and that many people use ChatGPT as their primary search engine, or they use Perplexity or Cloud.

And so Google's had to respond to that.

But it's also disrupted the whole economic underpinning of the web because whereas now everything is driven by advertising and AdSense from Google,

In an agent context where they can crawl the entire web looking for the best deal, now you have a whole different way of, well, you've kind of blown up that model.

It's no longer based on advertising.

I mean, you can imagine that you could advertise to the agents, but how does that really work?

Nobody really has a setup for doing that.

And so one thing that Google has proposed is an agent payment protocol.

which has a series of mandates.
