Um or whether we are just so distraught by something that's happening.

Or we're so sad about our own child's distress about something that happened to them with friends or in school.

That what we do is we get caught up.

And our distress at our child's distress or our own distress at what's happening in the world completely clouds our ability

Do what ultimately if we were able to take a step back.

So I think these are unintentional mistakes that parents make and I give a lot of examples in the book.

And believe me, I've been guilty of them as well.
