I'm sorry, but you're going to go with your friends and you're going to try to get pictures of these aliens without getting horribly dismembered or killed. And if you're like Ryan, you're going to get kicked in the face with a car by a giant alien. Yeah.
And you can knock your friends down with their own arms.
Absolutely. I mean, these are basically the new party game to me. Like, you just boot this up. It's like, hey, everyone want to play? Yeah.
Oh, this game is so trippy.
So A Midnight Walk is a survival horror game done with claymation in real life, like IRL claymation done by the developers, by these artists. And you get to walk through and experience that. Oh, did I mention it's VR? It's PSVR. Oh. No. And I do not know the story.
I imagine they're keeping the story a secret for a good reason, but it's this incredible little game where you're walking around this horrifying world made of clay all by yourself. And I don't really know what it's going to be, but it looks incredible. I mean, Ryan, you like survival horror games, right?
Oh, this is one of those games they're going to consider art later down the line. They're going to be like, they made this and it's pure art. Even if the gameplay isn't like amazing, just the visuals and hopefully the story will just carry it forward. But like these claymation, I'm always impressed by that. So I'm already down.
I'm very excited for that one too.
It's interesting and intriguing and it pulls you in. So it's doing its job. Yeah.
Yeah, I think it's Ichiban.
What a crossover.
No, but I think I have an understanding of what they are. They're basically adult versions of the Persona games, whereas instead of playing as teenagers, you play as middle-aged adults who worked in the Yakuza.
It's gotta be like a pirate.
Hello, fellow gamers, and welcome to the Video Gamers Podcast. On this indie-focused episode, we'll be taking a look at the recent release of Tales of Iron 2, taking a look at a hilarious-looking game called Headliners, taking a tour of the Mute House, and talking about a very good-looking game called Sworn that looks like Hades with the art style of Darkest Dungeon and its multiplayer...
Plus more. But before we get into that, some introductions are in order. I am your host, Josh. And joining me, he's currently running for his life from some monstrous invader, but he's got his camera filling. Oh, oh, nope, nope. He just got ripped in half. It's Ryan. My guts, my guts.
I don't like you, Ace. I like you, but I don't like you because you did your video for Dredge the other day, and I showed it to my wife, and she's like, well, this game looks great. So you cost me $30, then you put Sworn in front of us, and it's like, I don't know how much this game's going to be. I'm guessing $25, and now you cost me $25, Ace. You're getting expensive, buddy.
It's kind of nice to know, like it's probably going to be $25, you know? And if it's more than that, that means they're confident enough in this, that they're like a little more.
That's a good question. What is premium indie game price? I'm going to say $40.
I feel like $40 is like the... We've got something special here. We're still an Indy company, so we're going to charge the most we can charge. And I feel like $40 is that high point.
Like that's... Man, $40 for an Indy... Currently Googling audacious?
