He's talking through the big shot and then timeout called on a three.
And he's just, you know, ran and raving through and doing his catchphrases, the PTP or the diaper dandies, you know, all that stuff like that was a wholly unique thing.
And Stacey's like, if I ever got a chance to do that, that's how I would want to do it.
And guess what?
That's exactly how he did it.
for the last 20 years.
And that broke the formula.
The reason that that voice A, voice B thing works is that it's a psychological baseline for how people who sit down to watch a sporting event on TV and listen to what the announcers say.
It's a clear distinguishing psychological advantage when one person is giving you information X, Y, and Z, and the other person gives you information A, B, and C. It allows your brain to process those things at a much easier, more digestible level.
And when those lines blur, that might be a little jarring when for 50 years we got used to listening to voice A, voice B, and there the twain shall meet.
That's what we got used to.
He blew through the formula and he made it work because he was just kind of a force.
He's this gravitational force of personality and charm and charisma and knowledge that
uh his experiences made him a great television personality like yeah he was part of three championship teams playing our you know next to the greatest player ever and then he got his butt kicked for a couple of years getting traded and having to live with guy or play with guys that are like hey man jr rider is not really putting in any effort today
You know, like when I come to practice, I'm expecting to go hard at practice.
These guys are not doing it in Minnesota.
Christian Laitner doesn't care.
So like, you know, he, he saw all of that goes into coaching.
He played overseas in Turkey and he's got a mill, like incredible stories about, you know, trying to get away from Turkish mobsters at a club because one of his friends was trying to hook up with one of the girls that was with the Turkish mobster.
Like there's incredible stories out there that I was fortunate enough to get to hear.
