I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you all yesterday.

I couldn't pull myself out of it Sunday, the day we found out, and I just kind of dug myself out yesterday to go do some of the things that we did to do the show, and part of that was Casey. saying like hey you know we're professionals and that's still our job in a way um and we have a professional duty to to you know remember our friend and that's a and our colleague and that's a fair point but this is wholly selfish on my part um i just i i didn't want to not talk about it it just sucks um i told you guys i'm drifting still which is something i said this to the guys yesterday like i'm just i'm all over the place so please if you hear anything from me that sounds like that just snap me out of it if i'm rambling but yeah i'm just i'm i think a lot of us are just all over the place it was a little easier yesterday being able to talk about it i'm sure you guys feel the same uh natural human response to be able to
Talk about it. And that usually helps alleviate some of the numbness. But yeah, this is a wholly selfish act on my part just to be able to talk about. And I appreciate you guys hanging around. Well, you say that, but understand, Adam, I mean, we've heard from so many fans. And we've heard from other colleagues of Stacey's, and you really get a better sense of what he didn't mean just to you as an individual, but to the city of Chicago through us talking through it, through us talking about it. And so I say that to ask, share with our audience what Stacey King meant to you. just in your day-to-day life? Um, a lot of things. Uh, it's kind of what I said yesterday on the, on the show. It's like, he's a lot of things to a lot of people.
I think, you know, in this room alone, like Layla, you and I were fortunate enough to work with him directly on broadcast together.
