You can't redistrict the Senate seat, right?
But you make it more difficult to vote.
You make it more confusing to vote.
You reduce the number of drop boxes in Harris County like you did in 2024, right?
And there was a snap back to the right for Texas in 2024.
But before that, it was marching pretty steadily to the left to the point where Democrats were hoping to flip it in 28 or 2032.
And I think Republicans see that coming a mile away.
And now, as we saw last night, there was huge Latino participation and it seemed to be snapping back to Democrats, especially in the Rio Grande Valley.
Republicans are feeling pretty threatened.
So I think my big takeaway from this for November is that everybody of all races, of all locations, but especially black and brown Texans need to really unfortunately do the extra homework and really know where your precinct is well ahead of time, vote early, just do every single thing you can to make sure your vote counts and that you aren't in this kind of situation because we don't know what they're going to try to pull
you know, in October, November of this year, especially if the race seems tight.

Yeah, I mean, this was a whole conversation about, like, is electability a racially coded concept in this election, right?
And I think that there's a lot of people who do feel that way in Texas and in other states as well.
So I can say this is something that I think Democrats are going to have to grapple with
in 2028 as well.
In a lot of ways, this is kind of a preview of what the dynamics might look like if Kamala Harris runs and like, is she electable in the future?

And I think to your point earlier, Don, the candidates did excite different portions of the base, right?
Like I'm looking at the results here in counties that are mostly finished.
